Plainsboro
Incorporated in 1919, Plainsboro has a balance of open space and development, with over 50% of the Township permanently preserved as open space. The Walker-Gordon Dairy Farm, one of the family farms that has since closed, had contributed possibly the most famous cow ever – Elsie the Cow. Plainsboro’s Village Center is adjacent to the historic village area and is a combination of retail, commercial, and office space in addition to single-family homes and townhomes. It features a large village green in a park-like setting. Plainsboro has numerous undisturbed open space with nature trails, scenic parks, for walking, biking, jogging, and recreational facilities and playing fields.
